Do you ever feel like you feed your family way too much processed food? Or that maybe you spend way too much money on something that you could easily make?? Â My hubby came home from a grocery store run with a container of blueberry cream cheese spread…you know, the kind with a fancy brand name label, silver lid, and an even fancier price tag…yep, that’s the one. Â Well, my kids being the hardy eaters that they are, polished that cute little container off in less than 3 days. Â They don’t know how to “lightly spread” anything…they are more of the “slathering” type. Â So, before my children’s slathering habits added more and more pretty little containers to a landfill, I decided it was time for us to MAKE our own blueberry cream cheese spread.
It was quick, easy and absolutely delicious! Â The kids could SLATHER Â as much as they wanted on their bagels too because there was plenty AND one batch filled up a whole jar rather than a tiny little container.
It was a hit, and the kids loved it so much, that they insisted we share the recipe with you. They even stopped eating their own bagels, and insisted we take some photos specifically for a blog post. Â It’s really that delicious!! Â The kids could only resist so long and started sneaking bites during the photoshoot…
So, the next time you are craving a bagel with some cream cheese spread…don’t be tempted by the little silver container with a hefty price tag…go for the spread you can guiltlessly SLATHER on because you didn’t pay an arm and a leg for it or make a contribution to a landfill somewhere when you polished it off in less than 3 days.  😉  Hope you enjoy this quick and easy recipe! Let us know what you think and share it with others if you love it!
Now, get in the kitchen and make some sweet memories with the ones you love!
